Varun Dhawan Thanks Yash as Toxic Postpones! Paves the Way for the Theatrical Release of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai on its OG Release Date 5th June
Varun Dhawan starrer Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, directed by David Dhawan, has been rescheduled soon after Yash starrer Toxic got postponed from its original release date. Dhawan took to his social media handle to announce that Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will now release on 5th June instead of 22nd May. The actor thanked Yash and Maddock Films for helping them reset the calendar, making the film the first spectacle to hit the screens after the current-running IPL season.
The actor treated the audience with fresh posters featuring him alongside leading ladies Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur. The poster also gives a glimpse of a stellar supporting cast, including Maniesh Paul, Mouni Roy, and veteran actors like Jimmy Sheirgill and Rakesh Bedi, hinting at a comedy of errors. This reshuffle comes after Yash shared a detailed note on social media announcing that Toxic will no longer arrive in theatres on June 4, prompting the team behind the Varun starrer to revert the film to its original release plan.
“JUNE 5 TH 2026 in theatres. Thankful to @thenameisyash and @maddockfilms for helping us reset the calendar as our film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will now release on its original date. The first film to release post IPL,” he wrote.
Touted as a vibrant rom-com, the film is expected to be a high-energy entertainer featuring mixed 90s hits and classic slapstick humour that highlighted the David Dhawan era. Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will now arrive in cinemas on June 5.
