The 6th Edition of the SUPERHITS Marathi Film Festival in Pune
Red FM, one of India’s largest radio channels and one of the biggest entertainment networks, is all set to bring back the 6th edition of the Red FM Marathi Film Festival (MFF), scheduled to take place in Pune from May 22 to 24, 2026.
Built on Red FM’s long-standing Nat-Local philosophy, the Marathi Film Festival continues to celebrate the rich legacy, evolving narratives and creative brilliance of Marathi cinema. Over five editions, the festival has grown into one of Maharashtra’s most anticipated cinema events, bringing together filmmakers, actors, technicians, critics and cinema lovers under one roof.
This year’s edition promises a thoughtfully curated showcase of contemporary films and timeless classics, along with engaging panel discussions, filmmaker and crew interactions, and conversations around the changing landscape of regional storytelling. Some of the acclaimed titles to be showcased include Jait re Jait, Tighee, Gondhal, Dashavatar.
The 6th edition will witness the presence of acclaimed names from the Marathi film industry including Mahesh Manjrekar, Amruta Subhash, Girish Kulkarni, Shivraj Waichal, Siddharth Jadhav, and several other celebrated artists.
A special highlight will be the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to veteran actor Suhas Joshi, in recognition of her exceptional contribution to Marathi cinema and theatre across an illustrious career spanning over five decades.
The festival has collaborated with the Film Critics Guild and film critic Anupama Chopra for curating its highly anticipated Short Film Contest. The initiative is curated to put the spotlight on emerging filmmakers and fresh storytelling voices promoting the new-age cinema talent.
