Ranveer Singh, Dulquer Salmaan, Rishabh Shetty ,Aamir Khan Nominated for Best Actor at IFFM 2026

The nominations for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) Awards 2026 have been announced, with Dulquer Salmaan featuring in the Best Actor category for his performance in Kaantha. The actor joins a strong line-up of nominees that includes Ranveer Singh, Rishab Shetty, Aamir Khan, Mammootty, Ahaan Panday, Bhuman Bhargav Das and Sanjay Mishra.

Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, Kaantha is a multilingual period drama set in the 1950s and revolves around the evolving landscape of the Tamil film industry. The film explores the intersection of ambition, creativity and personal relationships against the backdrop of a changing cinematic era. Along with Dulquer Salmaan, the cast includes Bhagyashri Borse, Samuthirakani and Rana Daggubati.

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, regarded as one of the largest celebrations of Indian cinema outside the country, unveiled nominations across film and streaming categories, recognising performances and stories from multiple Indian languages. The Best Film category includes Sitaare Zameen Par, Kantara: Chapter 1, Saiyaara, Members of the Problematic Family and Not A Hero, while several actors and filmmakers have also received nominations across acting, direction and digital categories.

The annual festival has continued to showcase Indian cinema on a global platform, bringing together films and talent from across industries. The winners of the 2026 edition will be announced during the festival in Melbourne later this year.
