Each time Disha Patani has been on the screens, she’s also been in an entirely different phase of her career. For the unversed, the actress kicked off her filmography with the 2015 Telugu release Loafer alongside Varun Tej. However, it was the 2016 Bollywood blockbuster MS Dhoni: An Untold Story that placed her at the front and center of the spotlight, announcing her as a promising actress. As Priyanka, Patani tapped into the vulnerability and softness of love, and left a mark nationwide, something that the audience has still been recovering from!

Making her Chinese film debut with Kung Fu Yoga in 2017 and sharing the screen space with the legendary Jackie Chan, Disha added one of the strongest titles to her body of work, proving that she did not wish to be boxed into a certain type of film. With projects like Bharat, Baaghi 2, Malang, Radhe and Ek Villain Returns, Patani further proved that she had moved away from that box. By then, she had entered the spaces of romantic-drama, action-romance, grey-shades and action-thriller, diversifying her body of work.

Disha ruled 2024 like a beast with three consecutive releases. She stunned the audience by performing grave action sequences in Yodha. In the next, Kalki 2898 AD, she reinvented herself by playing a fierce bounty hunter and a mercenary against a sci-fi backdrop – quite a bold move there! She registered her third film of the year with Kanguva, marking her Tamil cinema debut and headlining it as the female lead. By this time, the actress established herself as a reigning pan-India performer.

This year too, the actress is ruling 2026 with three releases, with O’ Romeo already cementing itself as a compelling title. After which, the actress ventured into a full-fledged comedy space by being a crucial part of one of the biggest comedy franchises, Welcome. The actress brought a high glamour quotient to Welcome To The Jungle and balanced it with punchlines that landed!

And now, she’s placing herself as an inseparable part of Awarapan 2, one of the most-awaited second installments of the beloved cult classic. The trailer is out, showcasing Disha in an emotionally restrained space, piquing excitement among the audience about her character arc.

As the film gears up for a grand theatrical release on August 14, the audience is keen to see another big-screen reinvention coming up by Disha Patani. And this time, it’s deliberate. She is no longer choosing different parts but is building a career where the evolution is itself the point.
