With steady weekday momentum and shows continuing across Tier 1, 2 and 3 markets, the father-son dramedy looks to build its theatrical journey through Weeks 2, 3 and 4.

From Alia Bhatt and Honey Trehan to Sharib Hashmi and audiences across markets, Om Ka Hari has received appreciation for its performances, emotional core and father-son story.

As Om Ka Hari continues its theatrical run, the Harish Vyas-directed family dramedy has held steady through the weekdays, with the film continuing to find audiences even as the first week comes to a close. With 25 cinemas retaining the film into Week 2 and 50+ Army Centre screenings lined up across India, Om Ka Hari is now entering its second week with a continued opportunity to build through word of mouth and audience discovery.

The film’s weekday performance and screen retention also draw parallels with the recent journey of Hanuman Ansh, which similarly found an extended theatrical audience beyond its initial release window. With Om Ka Hari continuing to play across Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets, the makers are looking at the coming Weeks 2, 3 and 4 as an important phase for the film to expand its reach through sustained audience engagement.

The Army Centre screenings are expected to bring the film to thousands of viewers across the country, with 50+ centres hosting screenings. Alongside its theatrical run, the film is now taking a distinctly old-school approach to audience building.

Rather than relying solely on conventional promotions, actor-producer Anshuman Jha will travel across 15 cities from Monday onwards — including Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Agra, Jaipur, Bengaluru and Patna — to host special screenings for cinephiles and their fathers.

Inspired by the old-school tradition of Charlie Chaplin taking his films from city to city, Jha’s initiative is designed to create a direct, personal conversation around Om Ka Hari and its central message: to express love to our parents while we still have the chance.

Says Anshuman Jha, “This is the old-school way of connecting with audiences, not just selling a film to them. I make movies to connect, and my attempt has never been transactional; it has always been emotional. So I am willing to keep working harder and going further to reach my audience. Charlie Chaplin used to take his films from city to city. I want to do that with Om Ka Hari. I want to sit with audiences, watch the film with them, hear what they feel and have conversations with them. The love for Om Ka Hari is real, and I want to keep walking that extra mile to take the film to more people and, hopefully, spread the message at its heart, express your love to your parents while you still have the chance.”

With Week 2 now underway, the makers are choosing to focus on sustained audience discovery rather than a conventional Week 1-only narrative. The 15-city journey, Army Centre screenings and continued theatrical presence are intended to keep the film in conversation and give it the opportunity to grow organically across Weeks 2, 3 and 4.
