What makes Lambodhara 2.0 a true game-changer for Indian cinema is its casting choice. Stepping away from traditional visual effects and prosthetics, the film introduces JIA, a real humanoid robot developed by Machani Robotics in Bengaluru, playing a full-fledged character on the big screen. The makers highlighted this historic milestone with a special note:
“Meet JIA — a humanoid robot developed by Machani Robotics in Bengaluru. For the first time in Indian cinema, a real humanoid robot plays a character on screen in Lambodhara 2.0. JIA isn’t CGI. JIA isn’t an actor playing a robot. JIA is the actor. 🤖🎬 Welcome to the future of Indian cinema.”
With the shoot wrapped and post-production starting, Lambodhara 2.0 is all set to redefine sci-fi storytelling on the big screen. The future of Indian cinema releases in theatres soon.
