Anurima Chakraborty is all set to make her Star Plus debut with Tod Kar Dil Mera, a Season 1 limited series, where she essays the role of Raushni, a character rooted in realism and emotional honesty.

Speaking about what drew her to the project, Anurima shares, “The first thing that pulled my interest towards this show was the plot and the idea that it was going to be a limited series. The fact that it would be shot entirely in live locations, with no typical sets, excited me a lot. The narrative of Raushni and Raj being very much one among the crowd, their romance being real and not fantasy-driven, instantly connected with me. It beautifully shows how bare minimum efforts can make a relationship perfect, small gestures that make your partner feel loved. Also, being part of a Star Plus show is a brag in itself.”

Opening up about shooting in Lucknow, she adds, “The experience was lovely. We shot many scenes with real people, not actors, who became part of the show. It was challenging to shoot amidst them, especially since they weren’t aware of the technical aspects, but their real accents and natural presence brought immense authenticity. That rawness will be a delight to watch on screen.”

Talking about her character, Anurima says, “Raushni comes from a simple family with traditional values, yet she has strong principles of her own. She is intelligent and capable of having a brilliant career, but she chooses the dream of settling down and building a happy family because that brings her joy. Raushni has many traits similar to mine, so portraying her felt natural and fun.”

Sharing the audience takeaway, she concludes, “No matter what challenges life throws at us, we must keep going. Life is beautiful. If one route closes, another opens. We shouldn’t surrender, what is meant for us will find its way.”
