Dulquer Salmaan Wins Best Actor at IFFM 2026 for Kaantha, Takes Home Best Performance Honour

Dulquer Salmaan has added another major international honour to his career, winning the Best Performance (Male) award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2026 for his performance in Kaantha.

Dulquer emerged victorious in a highly competitive category that featured some of the biggest names in Indian cinema, including Aamir Khan for Sitaare Zameen Par, Ahaan Panday for Saiyaara, Bhuman Bhargav Das for Not a Hero, Mammootty for Kalamkaval: The Venom Beneath, Ranveer Singh for Dhurandhar, Rishab Shetty for Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 and Sanjay Mishra for Vadh 2.

The win marks a significant moment for Kaantha, with Dulquer’s performance earning recognition on an international platform alongside some of the most acclaimed performers from across Indian cinema.

The actor’s latest honour also adds to his growing reputation as a pan-Indian performer. Having worked across Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi cinema, Dulquer has consistently taken on varied characters and projects that have allowed him to establish a strong presence across industries.
