BIGG BOSS 20: FROM CAPTAINCY DRAMA TO FRIENDSHIP FALL-OUTS, DAY 24 KEEPS THE HOUSEMATES AND VIEWERS ON THEIR TOES

Mumbai, September 30, 2026: With every passing day, Bigg Boss 20 continues to take over
viewers’ feeds, serving up a mix of intense confrontations, shifting friendships, captaincy politics
and unexpected moments. Streaming on JioHotstar and airing on Colors, Day 24 was no
different as tensions around food, leadership and relationships kept the house buzzing, while a
controversial exchange between Qazi Touqeer and Kanika Mann added another layer of drama
to the day.

Mahi and Uditi emerge as contenders for captaincy
The day began with Mahi and Uditi emerging as the ultimate contenders for captaincy this
week, following Arishfa’s decision during the ration task. However, the captaincy race was soon
accompanied by conversations around house dynamics, accountability and who truly deserves
to lead the house.

Mahi breaks down over food distribution row
An emotional Mahi broke down in front of Uditi and Arishfa after feeling hurt by Mary Kom’s
comments about her taking more gravy than the others. When Aasif asked Mahi about the
incident, she explained that Mary had asked for the chana dish to be divided among all 16
contestants, but had allegedly asked Kanika to take her portion before the division.
The issue soon reached Mary, with Aasif confronting her about the perceived unfairness. Mary
clarified that it was Yung who had spoken about the portions, adding another layer to the
disagreement.

Qazi calls out Arishfa, Aman attempts to clear the air
During a task, Qazi told Arishfa that she had the opportunity to disqualify someone. Arishfa
responded that she was aware of the rules, which did not sit well with Qazi. Feeling that her
response came across as dismissive, Qazi called her insolent and expressed his displeasure
with her attitude.

Aman stepped in to try and clear the misunderstanding between the two. However, Qazi
maintained that the people in Arishfa’s group had been tolerating her behaviour for too long,
keeping the tension alive.

Kanika calls Qazi’s joke ‘cheap’
Another confrontation unfolded between Qazi and Kanika when a playful exchange took an
uncomfortable turn. Qazi, while playing a character, compared himself to the character played
by Hrithik Roshan in Koi Mil Gaya and attempted to explain his use of the word ‘lollipop’ by
saying that children like lollipops and chocolates.

Kanika made it clear that she did not appreciate the comment. Qazi continued to explain that he
was referring to the character he had created, but when he asked Kanika, “Can we have
lollipop together?”, she immediately walked away and called his remark “cheap”, adding that
she did not expect such comments from him.

Love and Yung decide to maintain their distance
Elsewhere in the house, cracks appeared in another friendship as Love confronted Yung
about feeling left out. Yung admitted that he had received a reality check that day. Following
their conversation, the two agreed to maintain some distance from each other going forward.
Meanwhile, Uditi, Arishfa, Aman and Qazi discussed Gullu’s game. Uditi felt that Gullu was not
doing enough and was trying to create an angle with Love, while also calling Yung’s behaviour
childish. Aman added that Yung seemed to be taking on a different role after receiving praise
from the housemates earlier in the game.

Housemates decide if Gullu deserves another chance as captain
Bigg Boss then introduced an activity to determine whether the housemates wanted Gullu to
continue as captain. The housemates had to choose between a red rose and a black rose,
with each contestant explaining their reason.

Aman gave Gullu a black rose, saying he felt Gullu had been lost as captain. Mahi also gave
him a black rose, calling him careless, while Amrapali labelled him unfair. Uditi cited his lack of
strictness when it came to house duties, while Arishfa questioned his sense of responsibility.
On the other hand, Kanika went down on one knee to give Gullu a red rose, calling him a good
captain and recalling the jeevandaan he had given her during a previous task. Scout and Rhitw
also backed him with red roses, while Love, Mary, Yung and Qazi supported him as well.
With six black roses and four red roses, Gullu remained in the captaincy race.
Bigg Boss calls out the housemates over cleanliness
The state of the house became the next flashpoint as Bigg Boss reprimanded the contestants
for failing to maintain cleanliness and showed them clips highlighting the issue. The footage
immediately sparked chaos, with housemates defending their respective duties and pointing
fingers at each other.

The confrontation eventually turned into action as the contestants got to work and began
cleaning the house.

A fight over snacks adds to the chaos
The food distribution debate returned when Arishfa and Uditi questioned Mary over snacks
being prepared specifically for Gullu and Kanika. The discussion soon turned into another
heated exchange over fairness in the kitchen.

Mary defended her actions, stating that the other group had not stepped into the kitchen to
prepare food and that she did not believe in unfair distribution. The disagreement once again
brought group dynamics and kitchen responsibilities into the spotlight.
A Toofaan brings the house to a standstill
Amid the ongoing chaos, a Toofaan interrupted the proceedings as Bigg Boss instructed all the
housemates to step inside the house. The unexpected development briefly brought the
housemates’ activities to a halt.

The drama is set to take an entertaining turn in the upcoming episode as Bigg Boss introduces
Dolly, a doll with the power to make the male contestants follow her commands. The
women of the house are seen making the most of the unusual task, assigning hilarious
challenges to the male contestants and promising a lighter, more playful side to the house after
an intense day of confrontations.
