After winning audiences over with its quirky take on small-town life, Dupahiya returns for a second season, taking the residents of Dhadakpur into a new chapter filled with fresh ambitions, unexpected trouble and plenty of village gossip. Once known for being a crime-free village, Dhadakpur now finds itself dealing with a mysterious mobile tower, Bhugol’s newfound fame, and unexpected trouble brewing at every corner. With familiar faces returning and a new addition joining the Dhadakpur gang, here are five reasons to ride back into the world of Dupahiya Season 2.

1. A Mobile Tower That Has the Entire Village Talking
What happens when a mobile tower comes up on Banwari’s barren land? In Dhadakpur, nothing stays simple for too long. The new mobile tower becomes a source of rumours, superstition and speculation, turning an ordinary development into a full-blown village affair. It is one of the season’s central storylines and sets the stage for the fresh brand of chaos that awaits.

2. Bhugol’s Newfound Fame Changes the Equation
Bhugol has managed to make a name for himself in Dhadakpur, but being a local celebrity comes with its own complications. As his popularity grows, it begins to affect his life and the people around him, adding another layer to his journey this season. His newfound recognition brings a fresh dynamic to the story and explores what happens when life in a small village suddenly comes with a little more attention.

3. Roshni Is Chasing a Dream of Her Own
While everyone else seems busy dealing with Dhadakpur’s latest drama, Roshni has a much bigger goal in sight: her exam. Racing against time to prepare, she has Amavas by her side as she tries to balance her aspirations with everything happening around her. Her journey brings an aspirational and relatable thread to the new season.

4. A New Addition Meets the Familiar Faces
The world of Dhadakpur is back with its familiar ensemble: Sparsh Shrivastava, Bhuvan Arora, Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane, and Shivani Raghuvanshi return to their roles. Joining them this season is Bhojpuri star Dinesh Lal Yadav, aka Nirahua, adding a fresh face and a new dynamic to the mix. With the returning cast bringing back the chemistry audiences know and love, the new addition adds another layer to the Dhadakpur chaos.

5. The Dhadakpur Formula: Turn Everyday Into Entertainment
At the heart of Dupahiya is its knack for finding humour in the most mundane situations. Village gossip, family dynamics, personal ambitions and local quirks all become part of the larger story, creating a world that is chaotic yet familiar. Season 2 holds on to that distinctly Dhadakpur flavour while introducing new situations that keep both the characters and the audience guessing.

Directed by Sonam Nair, Dupahiya season two is created and produced by Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani under the banner of Bombay Film Cartel LLP, and created and written by Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg. Picking up from where Season one left off, the new season brings back Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane, Sparsh Shrivastava, Bhuvan Arora, Shivani Raghuvanshi, and Yashpal Sharma, with Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua) joining the team. Dupahiya season two is now streaming exclusively on Prime Video.
