Saqib Saleem sits on the producer’s chair for his maiden production venture Baby Do Die Do, under Saleem Siblings. As the film inches closer to its release date, Saleem took a moment to reflect on his standing as a producer, talking about constant calls from the director, distributors, marketing team, PR team, and more. “I feel like being a producer is exactly like working in a call center because you’re constantly on your phone,” he remarks in jest. Saqib pays respect to the producers, offering them a “hat tip” for doing what they do.

“It’s practically impossible. This experience has been so humbling for me,” he adds. Speaking in the context of paradox, Saqib Saleem urges the audience to suggest plans for the film’s promotions. “If you have any plans as to what we should be doing to promote my film, please do tell us,” he says and adds a pinch of sarcasm with, “Mere paas vaise hi bahot kam kaam hain abhi!”

Baby Do Die Do blends satire, absurdity and emotional depth, and it has already shaped up as an intriguing watch. Saqib fuels this unconventional, character-driven narrative with sister Huma Qureshi under Saleem Siblings production. Interestingly, it allows both actor-producer to push beyond familiar storytelling and create a film that they believe is the answer to calls for original stories in Hindi cinema.

Baby Do Die Do releases in theatres on July 3, 2026.
