Sharman Joshi Expresses His Opinion on the Evolving Tastes of the Audience: I appreciate that audiences now are much more critical
Sharman Joshi is all set to revive his iconic character, Laxman, in one of the most-awaited comedy capers, Golmaal 5. The actor, who is a part of the original cast, recently expressed excitement about the film and about reuniting with Kunal Kemmu after their comedy rollercoaster, Dhol.
Sharing his views about the changing tastes of the audience, Joshi said, “I appreciate that audiences now are much more critical. From the production value and direction to the story, which is the backbone of everything, they are demanding more, it is wonderful and exciting,” adding that it is then that the actors are pushed to do better. “Only then will we be able to pull up our socks and give more than what they are expecting,” he explains.
“I was amazed that every script that came to me of late was so special in terms of its story. That was not happening earlier. Whichever offer is coming to me, it is just so difficult to say no to,” he shared.
Golmaal 5 marks the reunion between Sharman Joshi and Kunal Kemmu 19 years after Dhol. Talking about his rapport with Kemmu, he shared, “Kunal has always been a fabulous actor. During Dhol, we were all too young, but now with his talent he has turned out to be as a writer as well.”
Even though the actor is hush-hush about his role in Golmaal 5, the excitement is visible! “You can expect the world, and I am sure you won’t be disappointed,” he says.
