Vikram Phadnis’s Hindi directorial debut, *Pal Bhar Ke Liye*, received an overwhelming response at its World Premiere at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2026, with the screening drawing loud applause from the audience. Presented by Anakaya Entertainment and produced by Bina Shah, the film stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher and Tahir Raj Bhasin, and marks a big milestone for Phadnis, better known as a leading fashion designer, in his first Hindi feature after two acclaimed Marathi films.

Taking to social media after the screening, an emotional Phadnis thanked Melbourne and IFFM for the love shown to the film, saying the energy in the room was something he would never forget. He added that the warmth, applause and heartfelt reactions from the audience meant everything to the team, calling such moments what every artist works for.

*Speaking about the overwhelming response, Vikram Phadnis said, “* _To see the audience respond to Pal Bhar Ke Liye with so much warmth and emotion has been incredibly special. As a filmmaker, you put your heart into a story and hope it finds its way to people, but to experience that connection in a room full of people at the World Premiere in Melbourne was something truly unforgettable. I am deeply grateful to IFFM, Melbourne and everyone who came out to watch the film and gave us so much love.”_
