Mrunal Thakur Ticks off a Bucket List by Starring in David Dhawan’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Calls Varun Dhawan the ‘Best Co-actor’ She has Worked with

Mrunal Thakur is on a roll! After winning hearts with Dacoit, the actress pivots to a rom-com with the upcoming film ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’. During the trailer launch event, Thakur opened up about headlining a David Dhawan directorial, describing it as a “bucket list moment”.

Sharing her experience, Mrunal said, “I had a lot of fun on set. In fact, as you saw in the trailer, I was driving, we were in the middle of the ocean, and then we were in London doing ‘Chunnari Chunnari’. I think it’s every girl’s dream to be the heroine in a David Dhawan sir film.”

Calling it an “honour”, Mrunal Thakur thanked the ace filmmaker and shared an insight, “We met over a cup of chai and he told me, _‘Tujhe main aise present karunga jaise ab tak kisi ne tujhe dikhaya nahi hai.’_ And that’s true.”

She adds, “Every time I see myself on screen, even right now while watching the trailer, it feels like a bucket-list moment. I’m so happy.” The actress also shared her experience of working alongside co-star Varun Dhawan, and called him the best co-actor she has worked with. “Varun, you’re amazing. I think he’s the best co-actor I’ve ever worked with.”

Directed by David Dhawan, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai brings together Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, Mrunal Thakur and Maniesh Paul under one roof for the first time. Billed as a hilarious rom-com, the film is scheduled to land on the big screens on June 5.
