August 19th 2026: ShareChat and Moj, part of the Mohalla Tech ecosystem have partnered with Level Infinite to launch THE MISFITS, India’s first bespoke gaming micro-drama featuring Techno Gamerz, India’s most-followed gaming creator with a community of over 50 million subscribers. Level Infinite is Tencent’s global games brand, dedicated to delivering engaging and original gaming experiences to a worldwide audience.

Created to mark the launch of Gangstar Mirage City, THE MISFITS is an immersive micro drama blurring the line between gaming, creator fandom and scripted entertainment by placing its story inside the game’s universe rather than around it. Set within the world of Gangstar Mirage City, the series moves beyond traditional game marketing by integrating the game’s universe into the storyline, offering audiences an immersive entertainment experience led by one of India’s most influential gaming creators.

The narrative charts the journey of a university freshman who fosters a secret society of outsiders through anonymous digital broadcasts. Scheduled for release on August 20, 2026, the series will stream on ShareChat and Moj, signifying a historic convergence where a global gaming giant, a cultural icon, and India’s burgeoning micro-drama format unite for a single, bespoke entertainment experience. Ahead of the series premiere, pre-registrations for Gangstar Mirage City are officially open on Google Playstore until August 20, 2026, offering fans early access and exclusive in-game rewards.

The collaboration also reflects the rapid rise of gaming and micro-drama as two of India’s fastest-growing digital entertainment categories. The ShareChat ecosystem reaches over 60 million monthly active users (MAUs) and delivers approximately 900 million daily episode plays, making it one of India’s largest destinations for creator-led short-form serialised entertainment.

Speaking on the partnership, Neha Markanda, Chief Business Officer, ShareChat and Moj, said, “Micro-dramas are rapidly emerging as one of India’s most exciting new entertainment formats, reshaping how audiences discover and engage with episodic storytelling in the vertical format. At ShareChat and Moj, we’re excited to be at the forefront of this evolution by creating experiences that bring one of the biggest passions in the country – gaming – alongside creators, brands and storytelling in an innovative way under one roof.

THE MISFITS is a strong example of this vision, combining the scale of Techno Gamerz, the immersive world of Gangstar Mirage City, and the power of the ShareChat ecosystem to create a first-of-its-kind gaming micro-drama. As brands look for more authentic and engaging ways to connect with their digital-first audiences, we believe collaborative micro-dramas will play an increasingly important role in the future of entertainment and brand storytelling.”

Sidharth Arora, IN Country Manager of Level Infinite added, “Gangstar Mirage City has been built around immersive storytelling, so we wanted its launch to reflect that same philosophy. Partnering with ShareChat, Moj and Techno Gamerz enabled us to introduce the game through an original narrative that naturally unfolds within its world, something a trailer never could. THE MISFITS is more than a campaign, it’s an innovative entertainment experience that brings together gaming, creators and storytelling in a way that feels authentic and engaging for today’s audiences.”

As gaming and creator-led entertainment continue to evolve, THE MISFITS demonstrates how original storytelling can transform traditional game launches into immersive cultural experiences. By combining ShareChat’s fast-growing micro-drama ecosystem with Moj’s creator community and Level Infinite’s immersive universe, the collaboration sets a new benchmark for collaborative entertainment in India
