Soon after Daldal, Aditya Rawal packed a punch yet again with his latest release, Subedaar, co-starring Anil Kapoor, Radhikka Madan, Mona Singh and others. The actor stepped into a negative shade as Prince, a ruthless mafia, and delivered a scene-stealing performance, relying mainly on his body language, dialect and the ability to converse more through his expressions. And now, renowned personalities from Bollywood cannot stop praising the multi-hyphenate actor!

Taking to his social media handle, filmmaker Hansal Mehta wrote, “Aditya Rawal digs into evil with glee and with zero pretence. His Prince is a hat tip to the villains of the past – men who are, unfortunately, a very present reality. To watch Prince fight a losing battle against his chacha, and to see him allow the character to rise above his own ego, is to witness the work of an actor whose time in the sun is not distant – it is imminent. To play a part like this without vanity is a rare and unmistakable sign. Actor, screenwriter, playwright, producer, footballer: this multi-hyphenate is here to stay. Watch out for him.”

Director Suresh Triveni shared a post by Freddy Birdy that captured the portrayal of Aditya Rawal as “eerily, awfully and crazily brilliant!” – and going by the heap of appreciation that kept pouring in, Aditya stood true to the expression! Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap had dropped a special post for Subedaar, and a part of it read, “@aditya_rawal’s revoking of a small town, social media influenced Elvis Yadav vibe villain makes me want to hate him.”

Recently, Bhumi Satish Pednekkar shared the screen space with Aditya Rawal in Daldal. And now, she highlighted her co-star’s screen brilliance by expressing, “@aditya_rawal my friend, you are so so rare and we are so fortunate to have an actor like you right now. Am extremely excited to see everything in store for you.” A part of director Amrit Raj Gupta’s post read, “@aditya_rawal bhai tum har baar surprise kar dete ho apni performance se!!! Bahot hi shandaar performance!”

And now that Aditya Rawal continues receiving praise and love from the audience as well as celebrity circles, it’d be safe to say that Bollywood has a new face!
