Rishabh Sawhney emerged as one of the biggest talking points of Nagabandham with his powerful double performance as the fearless Ali and the menacing Ahmad Shah Abdali. While audiences applauded how effortlessly he switched between two vastly different personalities, the actor has now revealed the extensive action training that helped him bring both characters to life.

As per the reports, speaking about the preparation that went into the film’s demanding action sequences, Rishabh shared that he had the opportunity to train under two internationally renowned action directors, each specialising in a different combat style.

“We had two action directors, international action directors on this film. One was for the close combat and the other was for the sword fighting and both of them were fab to learn from because they were precise with their stuff. Even the Indian action masters were brilliant but all of them have different specialities. The thing that I learnt most from them was safety. Like you always have to keep safety a priority which both of them really prioritised during the shoots. So Kecha Khamphakdee and Vlad Rimburg, these are the two we worked with,” he said.

The actor’s preparation reflects on screen. Whether it was Ali’s grounded intensity or Ahmad Shah Abdali’s commanding presence in large-scale battle sequences, Rishabh delivered two performances that felt completely distinct, earning widespread praise from audiences and critics alike. Many viewers highlighted his screen presence and physicality as one of the film’s biggest strengths, with the action sequences becoming a major talking point after the film’s release.

Following his breakthrough performance as Azhar Akhtar in Fighter, Nagabandham marked another significant leap for Rishabh Sawhney. His portrayal of both Ali and Ahmad Shah Abdali showcased not only his acting range but also the months of rigorous physical preparation that went into one of the most demanding roles of his career.
