COLORS’ stars mark Father’s Day, World Music Day and International Yoga Day with special memories and insights
Sudhanshu Pandey who plays Baldev Singh Chauhan in ‘Do Duniya Ek Dil’ shares, “Father’s Day has never really been about grand celebrations for me. Some of my happiest memories are the simplest ones with Nirvaan and Vivaan, whether it was dropping everything to spend time with them, listening to their endless stories, watching them grow through different phases of life, or simply sharing a laugh at the dinner table. As a father, I’ve always believed that children remember how present you were in their lives. Today, when I look at the young men they are becoming, I feel an overwhelming sense of pride and gratitude. Those are the sentiments that I channel before I do anything important. And that’s what makes playing Baldev in Do Duniya Ek Dil so rewarding. Baldev is a man who often lets power, ego, and control dictate his relationships, whereas fatherhood has taught me that the strongest bonds are built on trust, understanding, and unconditional love. Every time I step into his shoes, I’m reminded of the kind of father I strive to be in real life, and that contrast makes the journey even more meaningful. Wishing all fathers a very Happy Father’s Day.”
Yashpal Sharma who plays Ajab Singh in ‘Bareilly Ke Bacchan’ shares*, _“One thing I have always found fascinating about being a father is that your role keeps changing with time. When children are young, they hold hands to cross the road. Before you know it, they are walking ahead of you, making their own decisions, building their own lives, and teaching you new ways of looking at the world. As a father, learning when to protect, when to guide, and when to simply step back has been one of life’s greatest lessons for me. Father’s Day is a reminder of that beautiful journey and of the responsibility that comes with shaping lives through values rather than instructions. That’s why Ajab Singh from Bareilly Ke Bacchan is such an intriguing character to play. He belongs to a generation that believes being the head of the family automatically earns him respect, even though he rarely takes responsibility for the chaos around him. In many ways, Ajab represents an outdated idea of fatherhood, while real life constantly teaches us that a father’s true strength lies not in authority but in earning the trust and affection of his children. On Father’s Day, I wish for every father to have the chance to see his children thrive and shine.”
Sudesh Lehri from ‘Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment’ shares,“People often know me for comedy, but those who have spent time with me know that music has always been at the center of my life. On the sets of Laughter Chefs, I find myself singing all the time, sometimes a classic song, sometimes a folk tune, and sometimes just whatever moment inspires me. Music has a way of becoming part of everyday life without you even realising it. It accompanies our celebrations, gives us strength during difficult times, and often says what we struggle to express. Not a day goes by without appreciating the joy of listening to music, and the incredible artistry, discipline, and emotion that go into creating it. On World Music Day, I bow to the legends, musicians, lyricists, composers, and singers who have enriched our lives with melodies that continue to live across generations.”
Pravisht Mishra who plays Krishna in ‘Bareilly Ke Bacchan’ shares, “Music has been a steady companion, no matter what phase I’ve been in. If there’s a guitar in the room, chances are I’ll pick it up. If there’s a song playing, chances are I’ll start singing alone, even if nobody asks me to! What I love most is that music brings people together in the most unexpected ways. In fact, when we launched Bareilly Ke Bacchan, every character entered with their own song and the entire event felt like one big jam session. It perfectly captured the spirit of our cast. We laughed, sang, and instantly connected. For me, that’s the magic of music. It breaks the ice, creates memories, and turns ordinary moments into unforgettable ones. On World Music Day, I’m grateful for every song that became a memory, every late-night guitar session, and every person who has ever connected with me through music.”
Aishwarya Khare, who essays the role of Aarambhi in ‘Dr. Aarambhi’, shares, “There are certain things that instantly make you feel more centred, and for me, yoga is one of them. Whether it’s a few minutes of mindful breathing or taking time to stretch and unwind, it always leaves me feeling calmer and more focused. What I love most about yoga is that it teaches patience. It reminds you that progress doesn’t happen all at once, and that’s something I’ve come to value a lot. While portraying Aarambhi, a character who is constantly striving to move forward and stay focused on her goals, I’ve come to appreciate that mindset even more. Yoga has a beautiful way of helping you trust the process and stay connected to yourself. On International Yoga Day, I hope everyone takes a little time out for themselves and discovers what this practice can bring to their lives.”
