”Move on”, “Everyone had already forgotten about it”: Netizens react to Kantara-Ranveer Singh new ask for “unconditional apology” again urging all to let the actor enjoy his success

The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday took up a petition filed by Ranveer Singh seeking to quash a private complaint and FIR registered at the High Grounds Police Station. Hearing the matter, a single-judge bench of Justice M. Nagaprasanna asked Ranveer Singh to apologise in court.

While the legal proceedings are still underway, the reaction online has been notably different in tone. A large section of netizens appeared largely done by the controversy resurfacing at this stage, with many commenting “move on” and pointing out that “everyone had already forgotten about it.” Ranveer had already apologised publicly right after the incident and had shared a story also on his story.

After hours of the reactions from the incident, Ranveer posted an apology note on his Instagram Stories. He wrote, “My intention was to highlight Rishabh Shetty’s incredible performance in the film. Actor to actor, I know how much it would take to perform that particular scene in the way he did, for which he has my utmost admiration.” Clarifying his stance, Ranveer added, “I have always deeply respected every cultural tradition and belief in our country. If I’ve hurt anyone’s sentiments, I sincerely apologise.”
