In an industry where success often changes priorities, Vikrant Massey’s actions continue to underline his grounded values and deep respect for the people who shaped his journey. Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj recently revealed about the actor’s association with O’Romeo, recalling how Vikrant had committed to the project several years ago, at a time when he was still an emerging actor.

Despite being far from the spotlight back then, Vikrant had given his word to Vishal Bhardwaj, a filmmaker whose work he deeply admired. Years later, after the phenomenal success of 12th Fail and winning the National Award, propelled Vikrant into a new league of acclaim and credibility, Vishal revisited the project and reached out to him once again. Without hesitation, Vikrant honoured his earlier commitment and agreed to be part of O’Romeo, choosing to do the film without charging any remuneration.

For Vikrant, the decision was driven by more than professional obligation. He has previously shared that watching Maqbool, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, was a defining moment in his life, one that inspired him to pursue a career in acting. Vishal Bhardwaj’s storytelling and cinematic voice played a crucial role in shaping Vikrant’s artistic sensibilities. His special appearance in O’Romeo thus became a deeply personal gesture, an expression of gratitude and respect towards a filmmaker who influenced his path.

Vikrant dedicated approximately eight to nine days to the shoot, approaching the project with the same sincerity and commitment that define his performances. The gesture stands as a reminder that integrity and humility remain at the core of his success. Apart from this, Vikrant will next be seen in White, a biographical thriller where he will portray Shri Shri Ravi Shankar.
