Mrunal Thakur Reflects on Her Film Journey, Thanks Makers for Trusting Her Acting Skills: It’s the karma of my past life that I am getting this love and appreciation

Mrunal Thakur is soaking in all the love and appreciation pouring in for her latest theatrical release, Dacoit, co-starring Adivi Sesh. During a recently held event, the actress reflected on her career and expressed gratitude towards the filmmakers for trusting her acting skills and curating roles. Thakur looked back at the struggles and hardships that led her to this day. “It’s the karma of my past life that I am getting this love and appreciation,” she states.

Mrunal continues, “I’m just overwhelmed, and I realize that all these years, all the struggles I’ve been through, and the rejections – happened for this day, and it’s absolutely worth it. It is incomplete without the writers, director, cinematographer, editor, sound, music and BGM. If you take one thing away from me, the film will not land. I think that we have a fantastic team today, and we’ve created some extraordinary, beautiful memories. I want to give credit to all you talented people for trusting me.”

She adds, “I used to dream about a day when the filmmakers would trust me and write roles for me, and today, when I’m given an opportunity to perform in front of the camera and create magic, my heart just feels like ‘This is what I’ve dreamt of, and all my dreams are coming true.’”

Helmed by Shaneil Deo in his directorial debut, Dacoit is an action romantic drama produced by Supriya Yarlagadda under Annapurna Studios. The film stars Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur, and Anurag Kashyap in lead roles, alongside Prakash Raj, Sunil, Zayn Marie Khan, and Atul Kulkarni in supporting roles. The film continues creating a storm in the theatres.
