COLORS’ celebrities spread festive cheer this Lohri and Makar Sankranti!

Neha Rana, portraying the character of Megha in COLORS’ ‘Megha Barsenge’ shares, “Growing up in Punjab, Lohri was always a time of excitement and celebration. The streets would come alive with the sound of dhols and traditional songs. My favorite part of the celebration has always been gathering around the bonfire with family, sharing stories, from childhoods, and enjoying sweets like gajak and til laddoos. This year, on Megha Barsenge, we’re bringing this vibrant tradition to life with a special Lohri pooja, where my character seeks blessings for happiness and prosperity. I’m excited to share this festive spirit on screen, and I wish for peace and joy for everyone during this beautiful festival.”
Ankur Verma, portraying the character of Ankur in COLORS’ ‘Parineetii’ shares, “Lohri, for me, is a celebration of joy and unity, packed with lively dances, and the comfort of family traditions. I can’t wait to binge on sarson ka saag and makke ki roti to gajak, rewari, and til ke ladoo. In the storyline of Parineet, this is my character’s first Lohri with Parineet and so its special. I pray for abundance, happiness, and love for everyone this festive season. May this Lohri bring light to our hearts, joy to our lives, and strengthen the bonds we hold dear.”
Aditi Sharma, portraying the character of Apollena in COLORS’ ‘Apollena: Sapno Ki Unchi Udaan’ shares, “Lohri has always held a special place in my heart because of the traditions, memories and joy it brings. One of my fondest memories of my childhood is that we all used to go downstairs and do bornfire and take some pheras around Lohri. We used to do Bhangra on dhol and stay out with friend and family. This year, I plan to celebrate the festival with my Apollena family on set. I’m thinking of bringing til ladoss for me and my on-screen baba, Sandeep Baswana, to create new memories and add a festive touch to our shoot.”
