COLORS’ Stars Get Candid About Their Holi Celebrations
Deepika Singh, who essays the role of Mangal in COLORS’ ‘Mangal Lakshmi, shares, _“When I think of Holi, I think of renewal. It’s the one festival that reminds us to forgive, forget and move forward. For me, it has always been about shedding what weighs you down and consciously choosing the relationships that matter. That philosophy reflects in the way I portray Mangal in Mangal Lakshmi. For her too, every decision stems from family, from togetherness, from protecting bonds even when circumstances test them. The upcoming track is going to test her in a novel way yet as everyone celebrates Holi on set. I’ve always been especially drawn to the way this festival is celebrated in the spirit of Shri Krishna. There’s something powerful about seeing faith expressed through colour, music and collective joy; it feels both spiritual and liberating. At home, Holi is all about following rituals that are special to us as a family. I love preparing simple festive food and sitting together as a family once the colours settle. Over the years, one of my favourite parts of the festival has been watching my child and his friends – the build-up of excitement among them. There’s an innocence and purity in the way children celebrate Holi that makes you relive your own childhood. Their laughter becomes the soundtrack of the day. I wish everyone a safe, meaningful and joy-filled Holi.”_
Nia Sharma from COLORS’ ‘Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment’ shares, _“When I think of Holi, I can almost trace the different phases of my life through it. As a child, it was all about waking up early, gathering my gang, and plotting the most unpredictable colour pranks — the thrill was in catching someone off guard! As I grew older, the celebrations evolved. Holi became less about strategy and more about slowing down, catching up with friends, and celebrating the bonds that stood the test of time. This year, though, Holi has a whole new flavour. Celebrating it on the sets of Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment has been an absolute blast, especially with a musical twist as Amaal Malik joins us. When you mix music, mischief and a kitchen full of comedians, you know it’s going to be chaos in the best possible way. I’m genuinely excited for audiences to see the festive feast we’ll be whipping up! The kitchen might just turn into one big, happy (and slightly unmanageable) mess. But that’s the spirit of Holi. Here’s wishing everyone love, safe colours and endless laughter. Happy Holi!”_
Ayesha Singh, who essays the role of Mannat, in COLORS’ ‘Mannat Har Khushi Paane Ki’, shares, _“Holi is an indication to welcome change with open arms. It arrives at a time when the season begins to shift, and there is a sense of renewal in the air. For me, it represents hope, fresh beginnings and the choice to hold on to happiness. As I portray Mannat, I see that same belief reflected in her journey, she continues to look for light even in difficult moments and trusts that every day brings another chance to move forward. Holi carries that message in its own way. It brings families together, encourages us to let go of the past and step into the future with warmth in our hearts. I feel grateful to be part of a story that connects with so many homes, and on this Holi, I wish everyone peace, colour and new beginnings. Have a vibrant and blessed Holi!”_
Jasmeet Kaur, who plays Heer in COLORS’ ‘Tu Juliet Jatt Di’ shares, _“When I think of Holi, I’m taken back to my childhood, where every festival felt like a community event. There would be music in the background, plates of sweets moving from one room to another, cousins and neighbours walking in without notice, and colours ready at the door. It was never just about playing Holi, it was about showing up for each other. That sense of warmth and pride in your roots stays with you. Even today, when I step on the sets of Juliet Main Jatt Di, I see that same Punjabi spirit in the story – strong emotions, family bonds, and friendship. Holi is about holding on to that energy, to celebrate the people around me and not take moments for granted. Saareyan nu Holi diyan lakh lakh vadhaiyan.”_
Sneha Wagh, who portrays Vidya in COLORS’ ‘Mahadev & Sons’, shares, _“Holi has a very spiritual meaning for me. Having experienced the traditional celebrations in Vrindavan, I feel connected to the devotion and joy that surround this festival; there is something incredibly powerful about celebrating in the land of Krishna, like it’s blessing by the divine. Over time, Holi has become about meaningful connections for me, spending time with loved ones, sharing festive food, and simply being present in the moment. That sense of faith and strong family bonds is something I resonate with even while being part of Mahadev & Sons, where relationships and values are always at the forefront. May Shri Krishna fill every home with peace, positivity, and beautiful colours.”_
Namik Paul, who essays the role of Aryaman, in COLORS’ ‘Naagin’, shares, _“I think Holi reminds us to simply loosen up a little. We’re so used to holding back, how we look, how we laugh, how loudly we feel things. But Holi isn’t the day for that. Throw some colour around, dance like no one’s judging, and laugh without holding back. Sometimes, all it takes is a simple ‘bura na mano, Holi hai’ to break walls that existed for no real reason. So, call that friend you’ve been meaning to call. Mend that equation that felt awkward. Say what you’ve been holding back. Maybe that’s also why I connect with it this year. Working on Naagin, where emotions are heightened and relationships are intense, you realise how powerful it is when feelings are expressed fully. Being part of something so grand on screen and then stepping into a festival that matches that spirit feels special. For me, Holi isn’t just about colours. It’s about presence. Put the phone aside and reconnect with people. Wishing everyone a very Happy Holi!”_
Krushna Abhishek from COLORS’ ‘Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment’ shares, _“Holi at my house feels like a full-scale film set. My two sons start planning days in advance with secret meetings, hidden buckets, water balloons stacked up. By morning, I already know I’m going to be attacked from every corner. I’m not someone who usually holds back anyway, but Holi gives me and everyone the freedom to let loose even more. There’s no image to maintain when you’re drenched in pink, green and something that was probably blue at some point. By 9 am, my family looks like modern art that lost control. It’s going to be much of the same on Laughter Chefs, where we create chaos in the kitchen. My message is – be around your people, laugh freely, and don’t take yourself too seriously. The colours fade in a couple of days, but the moments you create together should last much longer. Wish you all a wonderful Holi!”_
Aditya Redij, who plays Dr. Vishwas Tandon in COLORS’ ‘Dr. Aarambhi’ shares, _”This Holi, I want to invite everyone to celebrate the festival in its truest spirit, with colour, joy and togetherness, but also with awareness and responsibility. For me, festivals are not just about excitement; they are about honouring family, tradition and the sense of community that keeps us grounded. Over the years, through the characters I have portrayed on screen, including my current journey on Dr. Aarambhi as Dr. Vishwas, I’ve understood the importance of connecting with audiences across generations. That sense of responsibility has shaped me not just as an actor, but as a person, and off screen I value warmth, humility and staying rooted. Holi is a time to reconnect with our families, forgive small grievances and celebrate the values that bind us together. Celebrating with my wife Natasha and my little Aaryash is deeply special, and watching him enjoy the colours reminds me of the kind of world I want him to grow up in, joyful, compassionate and respectful of everyone. This year especially, I would encourage everyone to celebrate responsibly. Let’s avoid harmful chemical colours and choose natural or organic alternatives, respect personal boundaries, care for the environment and support local artisans who create traditional Holi products. Small, mindful choices can make a big difference.”_
