Pooja Hegde Celebrates 6 Years of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Cheers her Admirers with ‘Happy AVPL Day’

Pooja Hegde and Allu Arjun’s blockbuster hit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo marks its sixth anniversary today. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film marked an all-time hit collaboration between the pan-India powerhouse and the Pushpa actor, serving an on-screen duo that’s celebrated even today. On the film’s 6th anniversary, Pooja Hegde took a moment to celebrate the feat, looking back at the iconic hit number, Butta Bomma.

The actress took to her Instagram stories to share a still of her alongside Allu Arjun from the viral chartbuster, reminiscing Butta Bomma fever! The actress simply described the day as ‘AVPL Day’ and wished her admirers ‘Happy AVPL Day everyone’.

Pooja Hegde and Allu Arjun’s fiery collaboration served audiences an unforgettable pair, and their crackling chemistry also boosted the film’s commercial success. Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo made an approximate collection of Rs.262 – Rs.280 crore worldwide, emerging as the fourth-highest-grossing Telugu film of all time at the time of its release. It also bagged a spot as the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2020 and the second-highest-grossing Indian film of 2020. With Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Pooja Hegde registered a blockbuster hit to her filmography alongside a mega collaboration with renowned director Trivikram Srinivas and the celebrated actor Allu Arjun.

And now, she is gearing up for a big-screen mania with Jana Nayagan, a political action-thriller co-starring Vijay Thalapathy. She will also be seen in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai alongside Varun Dhawan. Directed by David Dhawan, the film is scheduled for a big-screen release on 5th June. She also has #DQ41 with Dulquer Salmaan and Kanchana 4 with Raghava Lawrence in the pipeline.
