KAILASH KHER’S POWERFUL VOICE DRIVES ‘HEY HANUMAN’, THE THIRD SONG FROM ‘MAHAKAVYA SHRI RAMAYAN KATHA’, STARRING ANJALI ARORA AND DEV SHARMA

With Nirbhay Wadhwa portraying Hanuman, the song captures the stirring moment when Hanuman ji is reminded of his immense strength and devotion to Prabhu Shri Ram

Mumbai, 11 September 2026: The makers of Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha have released the Hindi version of the film’s third song, Hey Hanuman, sung by Kailash Kher. The Chhattisgarhi version, sung by Rakesh Sharma, will also be released shortly. Shot simultaneously in Hindi and Chhattisgarhi, the film will release in cinemas on 25 September 2026.

Nirbhay Wadhwa, who portrays Hanuman in the film, brings to life one of the most powerful moments from the Ramayana: the moment when Hanuman ji is reminded of the immense strength that has always existed within him.

Beginning with the call, “जागो हे हनुमंत, वीर महान,” Hey Hanuman moves from doubt and silence towards awakening, strength and resolve. The song presents Hanuman ji’s might not as pride or aggression, but as a power rooted entirely in his unwavering bhakti towards Prabhu Shri Ram.

Kailash Kher’s distinctive voice lends the composition both spiritual depth and force, turning the song into a call that gradually grows into a resounding chant of “Jai Shri Ram.”

Speaking about the song, Kailash Kher says, “Hey Hanuman is a call to awaken the strength that already exists within. While singing it, I wanted the voice to carry both bhakti and veerta. Hanuman ji’s immeasurable power comes from his complete devotion to Prabhu Shri Ram, and that is the central emotion of the song. I hope listeners experience that energy when they hear it.”

Nirbhay Wadhwa, who portrays Hanuman in the film, says, “Hanuman ji represents immense strength, but also complete humility and surrender before Prabhu Shri Ram. This sequence is especially powerful because he is not discovering a new power; he is being reminded of what has always existed within him. Kailash ji’s voice gives that moment tremendous energy and helped me bring both Hanuman ji’s humility and his strength to the screen.”

Rakesh Sharma, who has sung the Chhattisgarhi version, says, “The Chhattisgarhi version carries the same bhakti and strength while bringing its own warmth and energy to the song. I wanted the words to feel natural and immediate for listeners in Chhattisgarh. Hanuman ji’s devotion to Prabhu Shri Ram is universal, and I hope this version brings that emotion closer to audiences in their own language.”

The music directors of Hey Hanuman are Dev Chauhaan and Ashish Donald, with the composition by Ashish Donald. The song has been written by Jaidev Jonwal, with Himanshu Rawat serving as assistant composer. Music production is by Dev Chauhaan and Ashish Donald, while the track has been mixed and mastered by Deepak Poojary and Chayan Dey.

Hey Hanuman follows the previously released songs Siya Ram and Ram Ji Ki Sena, taking the film’s musical journey from the devotion of Shri Ram and Mata Sita to the resolve of Ram Ji’s army, and now to the bhakti and strength of Hanuman ji.

Portions of Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha were shot across the real landscapes of Chitrakote in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, a region traditionally associated with Dandakaranya and the vanvaas journey of Prabhu Shri Ram, Mata Sita and Lakshman.

The film stars Dev Sharma as Shri Ram, Anjali Arora as Mata Sita, Sheel Verma as Lakshman, Nirbhay Wadhwa as Hanuman and Rajniesh Duggal as Ravan.

Directed by Abhishek Singh, the film is presented by AJ Film Entertainment World and Ajay Kanojiya. It is produced by Prakash Mahobiya and Sanjay Bundela, and co-produced by Honey Kuldeep Agarwal and Moni Sen.
