Breaking: Actress Alankrita Sahai whose movie ‘Band Of Maharajas’ was recently in contention for Oscars 2025 permanently shifts from Chandigarh to Mumbai to make it her ‘home’ once again, talks about prioritising family and mental health after father’s demise!

Actress Alankrita Sahai who has proven her mettle and potential on many occasions on the big screen, OTT and several successful chartbusters and music videos is currently experiencing the feeling of ‘homecoming’ once again. Yes, that’s right. The actress whose movie ‘Band Of Maharajas’ was recently in contention for Oscars 2025 as India’s official project for quite some time is now all set to take over Bollywood and how. The actress has now finally returned to Mumbai to her base to live and work from here once again. For the unversed, the actress who was earlier living in Mumbai itself left the city in between owing to some personal reasons. On being asked to share more about why she had decided to do so and how she feels coming back home and shifting in her home city after a hiatus, the diva shares,

“Well, I had left Mumbai in between for a while due to some personal reasons. Unfortunately, I lost my dad later and that’s when, I decided to stay back in Chandigarh and work from there itself. At that point of time, to be honest, choosing my family and my peace of mind was the top priority and I did exactly that. Even though I was working continuously, I hadn’t fully recovered and henceforth, I wasn’t emotionally or mentally prepared to return to Mumbai where I lived and built everything with my dad. By God’s grace and the blessings of the universe, I am now ready and that’s why, I have moved back. Besides the personal reasons, professionally too it will be beneficial as it will save a lot of my traveling time which I can instead use for more productive work. So yes, this is a homecoming for me and I am delighted.”
