Mumbai: Bringing a character’s inner world to life often lies in the details that remain unspoken. For Zoya Hussain, who plays Baapji’s right hand in Hunkkaar: The Roar, finding the emotional truth of her character came down to being present in the moment, listening closely to her co-actors and allowing their performances to shape her own.
Set against a world shaped by power, faith and influence, Hunkkaar: The Roar follows the accusation made by 17-year-old Meenu Rawat against spiritual figure Sunil ‘Baapji’ Chakosi. As the story unfolds through its legal, police and media dimensions, the series explores the people and institutions caught within Baapji’s sphere of influence.

Zoya Hussain says, _“So much of one’s performance is just listening to your co-actors speak while they do their thing. If you’ve done your homework before coming to set, taking in what everyone else is saying, holding space for that and reacting to that usually helps you out.”
