*Dum Laga Ke Haisha:* Bhumi Pednekkar gained nearly 30 kgs for her first film, a daring transformation that many actresses would think twice before taking up! In a film revolving around body image, Bhumi pulled off the role of Sandhya with quiet confidence, sparking body-positivity conversations and adding a new definition to ‘heroines’.

*Sonchiriya:* Sonchiriya is a gritty action drama set in Chambal ravines, following a gang of dacoits grappling with redemption and survival, and Bhumi Pednekkar, as an actress, blossomed as Indumati Tomar. From the aueled an unseen shade of her thentic Bundeli dialect to the grounded getup to the body language, Bhumi unravas an actress.

*Saand Ki Aankh:* Bhumi played Chandro Tomar in Saand Ki Aankh and defied conventionality, surprising everyone with her daring choice. What might have turned out to be an experimental risk for other actresses proved to be a natural progression for Bhumi.

*Badhaai Do:* Bhumi pulled off the role of Sumi Singh in Badhaai Do and brought the sensitive topic of queer to the fore. She plays a lesbian who enters into a holy matrimony with Shardul, a gay, only to impress their families. The actress went bold once again by depicting a lesser-known concept about lavender marriage.

*Daldal:* Based on Vishal Dhamija’s bestselling novel Bhendi Bazaar, Bhumi Pednekkar headlines Daldal, a psychological crime riller that portrays her aths DCP Rita Ferreira. The series delves into Mumbai’s dark underbelly and her inner struggles. “Very few characters like this get written for us,” she had shared while talking about Daldal.
