Warner Bros. Discovery Begins the 2026 Summer Fiesta: Announces the Premiere of New Shows Sampat Champat on POGO and Kian & Kiki on Cartoon Network

POGO, Cartoon Network, and Discovery Kids set the stage for the biggest kids’ entertainment season of 2026 with new shows, expanded universe, and on-ground activations across India.

Mumbai, 12th May 2026: Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is deepening its commitment to the Indian kids’ entertainment market with a Summer 2026 slate that represents the company’s most expansive local content push. Central to this strategy is the launch of two original homegrown IPs across its iconic and flagship brands — POGO and Cartoon Network. The new slate with 200+ fresh episodes across the three kids’ entertainment channels reflect WBD’s broader ambition to build a diversified portfolio by investing in homegrown creative talent and original IP development at a scale.

Announcing the launch of new IPs and 2026 slate, Sai Abishek, Head of Factual Entertainment, Lifestyle & Kids – South Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery, said, “At Warner Bros. Two New Worlds, One Unforgettable Summer
Leading the charge this season are two new original IP launches with a clear focus to diversify and build a leading portfolio of homegrown content.

‘Sampat Champat’, debuting on POGO, reimagines one of India’s most cherished comic duos from the iconic pages of Lotpot Comics for the screen. The new show takes POGO’s fans through the journey of Sampat and Champat – the lovable, bumbling thieves that generations of Indian kids grew up reading about — now brought to life in a vibrant animated universe, full of slapstick chaos, small-town warmth, and the kind of mischief that reminds every kid what it means to simply be one.

On Cartoon Network, ‘Kian & Kiki’ marks the brand’s most significant new IP launch of 2026. Created in partnership with Cosmos Maya and Fable Spinners Studio, the first-of-its-kind series built around a family of magicians – blending fantasy, slice-of-life storytelling, and comedy through the lens of a genuine sibling bond. ‘Kian & Kiki’ embody everything Cartoon Network has always stood for — characters with heart, stories with soul, and a spirit that transcends boundaries. Born from Indian creativity and talent, and designed to resonate globally, they are exactly what the best of CN has always looked like: unmistakably Indian, undeniably universal.

The new originals will also be streaming on Discovery+.
“POGO, Cartoon Network, and Discovery Kids each represent a distinct world, but together they serve one unified mission of providing kids with a compelling entertainment slate to enjoy and have fun with,” Sai Abishek added.

Expanding Universes on POGO, Comedy-First Block on Cartoon Network
This summer also marks a structural evolution in how WBD Kids portfolio in India is developing its most beloved franchises. On POGO, for the very first time, the channel’s two most iconic characters — Chhota Bheem and Little Singham — are being brought into a shared, anime inspired universe, revealing the canonical backstories that connect their worlds and unlocking new adventures together. Individual franchise slates and new fan favourites such as Omi No. 1 and Jay Jaganath will continue to deepen alongside this shared universe. The summer include a vibrant celebration for Chhota Bheem’s 18th birthday featuring the Chhota Bheem telefeatures and for the first time ever – Origin of Bheem Big Picture specials from May 3rd onwards.

On Cartoon Network, a comedy-forward programming philosophy and CN’s Boom Bam Comedy Jam, is taking centre stage with the launch of Kian & Kiki, new seasons of Teen Titans Go! And Batwheels, and a rotating comedy block featuring new international hit franchises localised for Indian audiences including Baby Lemmings, The Weasy Family, and Maca and Roni — refreshed every quarter to keep the laughs coming.

Discovery Kids will continue to deliver Nonstop Badmaashi, Nonstop Bawaal, across its beloved roster of homegrown shows including the new season of the fan favourite show Titto and the classic antics of Mr. Bean all summer.

Adding Fun in Fan-gagement — Campaigns, Mascots & Summer Madness
The summer entertainment doesn’t stop at the TV screen. WBD India Kids Network is taking its three flagship summer campaigns — POGO Ke Dhurandhar, CN Boom Bam Comedy Jam, and Discovery Kids Nonstop Badmaashi, Nonstop Bawaal — beyond television with immersive mall activations across 14 key cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Surat, Pune, Vizag, Hyderabad and others. These on ground engagement across 20+ malls and at India’s largest trampoline park – BOUNCE in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Gurugram, will bring kids closer to their favourite characters Chhota Bheem, Little Singham, Tom & Jerry and others through live mascot engagements.

That’s not it! Little Singam and Chhota Bheem mascots are turning into social media creators for the summer engaging fans with their meme worthy antics. The fans will continue to be engaged across POGO, Cartoon Network and Discovery Kids’ social media platforms through high-energy social activations featuring UGC, contest led and influencer initiatives that invite kids and families to be part of the fun — turning viewers into active participants in the summer story.

The summer campaigns are backed by a robust marketing and brand partnership ecosystem, with co-branded sponsor integrations woven into the on-air, on-ground, and digital activations across all three channels. Along with summer campaigns, Chhota Bheem will be celebrating his birthday by surprising fans on theirs and a digital ladoo cake inviting fans to be part of making a giant digital Bheem statue.
