Priyanka plays a pregnant woman who finds herself at the centre of a bank robbery. But is she simply an innocent bystander caught in the chaos, or is there far more to her story than meets the eye? The mystery behind her character will finally unfold when The Great Punjab Robbery arrives in cinemas worldwide on 7th August 2026.
Sharing her experience, Priyanka said,“Being a part of The Great Punjab Robbery has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. Working with Saurabh Varma sir was truly inspiring because he has such a clear vision and passion for storytelling. Sharing screen space with Raj Kundra, Garvita Sadhwani, Mahabir Bhullar and Paramveer Singh was an incredible learning experience. Every day on set taught me something new. This was also my first time performing in Punjabi, and I was pleasantly surprised by how easily the language came to me. I instantly connected with the character and gave this role my heart and soul. My character goes through a deeply emotional and unpredictable journey. I can’t wait for everyone to watch the film on the big screen and finally discover the mystery surrounding my character.”
Beyond its gripping mystery, The Great Punjab Robbery is also being touted as a film that could take Punjabi cinema to the next level. With its scale, powerful performances and edge-of-the-seat storytelling, the film aims to offer audiences a larger than life cinematic experience.
As anticipation builds ahead of the release, one question continues to linger, when the robbery unfolds, is Priyanka Bajaj Sibal’s character trapped in the middle of it… or is she on the other side?
