Abhay Verma Extends a Memorable Birthday Wish to Shah Rukh Khan, Offers a Wholesome Peek from the Sets of KING: Unki haazir-jawaabi ke aage sab fail hai
Abhay Verma marks one of the most ambitious releases in his filmography with the highly-anticipated, KING, wherein he unites for the first time with Shah Rukh Khan. As the Baadshah of Bollywood celebrates his birthday today, Verma took to his social media handle to share what the “best day of my life” felt like.
He etches September 29 in his diary in a handwritten note. It states, “_Aaj historic ho gaya..shayad hee itna khush kabhi feel kiya hoga jitna aaj kar raha hu…Aaj Shah sir ke sath scene kara aur koi nahi, sirf sir aur mai…Shoot pe gaya aur Siddhant ne bataya ki aisa kuch hone vala hai but yakeen nahi ho raha tha…phir set pe pohcha toh pata chala sach hai…bahot nervous ho gaya suddently…toh sir aaye aur mujhe gaal pe kissie kar ke mile…phir thodi rehearsals ki aur maine kaha sir mai haath pe weight daal sakta hu? toh sir bole bilkul daal na…phir jab daala toh sir bole ‘Abhi nahi beta take mein..’ toh hum dono hase saath mein for good 15 secs in middle of rehearsals.._”
He continues in the note, “_Toh Sid sir ne aake pucha ki kya hua…then Shah sir explained him and Sid sir bhi thoda hase aur phir back to work. Phir jab take ho rahe they toh mann mei bass itna aa raha tha ki mujhse koi galti na ho jaaye bas…taaki sir ko dobara na karna pade meri wajah se! Aaj jo bhi hua, I honestly can’t believe it happened with me…_”
Admiring King Khan’s humility, Verma continues, “_But Shah sir jitna professional actor nahi dekha honestly. Tabiyat kabhi kharab thi sir ki toh bhi kisi ko pata chalne nahi diya that he’s unwell. TRULY KING THINGS!! Phir scene khatam hua toh maine apni diary ke baare mei pucha…thoda hasi mazaak hua aur phir mera pack up. But mai change kar ke wapis set pe gaya offcourse, aur shoot chal raha tha Sir ka..Sir ne bithaya saath mein aur mai nervously baitha phir takes ke beech mei Pooja ma’am aur mai baat kar rahe they, bahot pyaar dete hai ma’am bhi hamesha and then sir would keep coming and going. Unko dekhna magic create karte hue ek alag he inspiration tha….Sir ne hasaaya bhi baad mei…Unki haazir-jawaabi ke aage sab fail hai..Phir thodi der baad maine ijazat li and then I left the set._”
“_Abhi 12 baje aaya ghar aur socha aate he likh lu aaj ke din ko iske pehle ki kuch bhool jau….It was by far the best day of my life and the way Shah sir comforts everybody on set and especially actors, everything about him tells you kyun log itna pyaar karte hai unko, kyun wo KING hain aur hamesha rahenge…Vaise to King ke set pe jaake har baar sapna lagta hai…But aaj ek bahot bada sapna poora hua…_” he concludes.
After the success of his latest release, Operation Safed Sagar, Abhay Verma has gotten the audiences highly intrigued about his collaboration with some of the finest from Bollywood in KING. Directed by Siddharth Anand, KING is slated for a theatrical storm on December 24.
