Sooraj Barjatya Brings Back the Magic of Monsoon Romance with Ayushmann and Sharvari’s ‘Saawan Aaya Hai’

There is something about rain and romance that Hindi cinema has always celebrated with beauty, and few filmmakers have understood the charm of the two coming together quite like Sooraj R. Barjatya. From the season of love of Yeh Mausam Ka Jaadu Hai Mitwa in Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! to the warmth of the rain sequence in Mhare Hiwda Mein Naache Mor in Hum Saath Saath Hai that have defined his love stories over the years, melody has always been central to the way Barjatya portrays love. Now the filmmaker is ready to explore that terrain again with Saawan Aaya Hai, the latest romantic offering from his forthcoming film Yeh Prem Mol Liya.

The song starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari is a promise of celebration of love with a monsoon backdrop. The song is the perfect prelude to Diwali week as we plunge head first into cleaning up. The song captures how saaf safai for Diwali is a moment of coming together for the family. With that as the setting, the song shows the two actors sharing lovely moments in the rain bringing back stealing glances and the charm of old-school Bollywood romance. It is the kind of love song that allows looks and the magic of the moment to do the talking.

Composed by Himesh Reshammiya, Saawan Aaya Hai is sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Keshav Anand, with lyrics by Mayur Puri. The collaboration brings together Shreya’s emotive vocals with Himesh’s melodic prowess for a song that taps into the timeless appeal of the Hindi film romance. For Barjatya, whose films have given audiences soundtracks that have remained popular across generations, the song is another opportunity to revisit the emotional power of melody.

Three decades after his maiden blockbuster entry into Bollywood, Barjatya returns to that essence of romantic sensibility, this time with Ayushmann and Sharvari bringing a new Prem and his leading lady to the screen. The song features the film’s wide ensemble. The movie also stars Anupam Kher, Supriya Pathak, Seema Pahwa, Saumya Tandon, Swanand Kirkire, Shaad Randhawa, Shruti Seth, Geeta Agrawal Sharma, Krish Rao and Ashnoor Kuckreja.

The song releases tomorrow. Yeh Prem Mol Liya, directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films, arrives in cinemas on November 27, 2026.
