Bhumi Satish Pednekkar Reflects on an Unforgettable Experience at the Assam Regimental Centre, Decorates Herself with her Mother’s NCC Medals

Bhumi Satish Pednekkar recently added a memorable experience to her 2026 books. The actress visited the Assam Regimental Centre in Meghalaya and extended her salute to members of the Indian Armed Forces. What’s even more memorable is that Bhumi chose to celebrate her mother’s feat by donning her NCC medals.

In one of the videos shared on her social media, the actress shared, “It’s a special day for me. Throughout my life, my mom has shared her experiences from her days at the NCC. Today, I’m at the Assam Regimental Centre and we had a sweet show for all the Agniveers. And I felt there couldn’t be a more apt place for me to wear all her medals.”

Bhumi visited the Assam Regimental Centre for three days and captured a heartfelt experience in a wholesome note. “There couldn’t have been a better moment than this to wear my mother’s medals she won during her time in the @nccindiaofficial , @sumitrapednekar you are my hero. I spent 3 days in the Assam Regimental Centre in Meghalaya. This is where our brave Agniveers are trained. Their courage and service to the country has left me deeply inspired. My salute to all our officers, jawans and every member of our armed forces,” she wrote.

The Jai Jawan special, with Bhumi Pednekkar, offered a warm and insightful look into the lives of Indian Army soldiers and the world they inhabit in the service of the nation. “To finally be here and see how our soldiers train and live is overwhelming. There are moments when you are left with nothing to say – only respect,” the actress described her experience.
