‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ Actor Jay Patel Launches Blue Jay Music, Unveils ‘Shree Ganesh Ji Ki Aarti’ sung by Anup Jalota

Actor and film producer-entrepreneur Jay Patel, known for his role as Shyamji Krishna Varma in Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, has ventured into the music space with the launch of Blue Jay Music. The label marks its debut with “Shree Ganesh Ji Ki Aarti”, featuring legendary devotional singer Anup Jalota, popularly known as the Bhajan Samrat. The track has been composed and written by Abhishek Dudhaiya, who also serves as its music director.

Speaking about his decision to launch Blue Jay Music with devotional music, Jay Patel said, “India is full of culture, spirituality and devotional values. I want to take this rich musical heritage to a global audience and create awareness of it in the international market. Blue Jay Music is my effort to bring Indian devotional music to listeners around the world while keeping its authenticity, emotion and cultural roots intact.”

For Patel, having Anup Jalota as the voice behind the label’s first release was an important part of that vision. He said, “When I came from New York and started looking for someone with deep experience and authentic knowledge of devotional music, Anup Jalota ji was an obvious choice. His understanding of devotional music is extraordinary — it is deeply ingrained in his artistic identity. There is a reason he is known as Bhajan Samrat. That is why we felt his voice was the perfect way to begin the Blue Jay Music journey. This first release is only the beginning; many more songs and collaborations are coming in the days ahead.”

For Anup Jalota, the collaboration was equally rooted in the idea of taking Indian devotional music beyond its traditional audience. Sharing what drew him to the project, Jalota said, “When Abhishek Dudhaiya, the director, lyricist and composer, shared the vision behind Blue Jay Music and spoke to me about Jay Patel’s global vision and his journey of success in the USA, it immediately resonated with me. The idea of taking India’s devotional music and rich cultural heritage to a global audience was very inspiring.”
“For me, it was an easy and heartfelt ‘yes’ to be part of Blue Jay Music’s very first release, ‘Shree Ganesh Ji Ki Aarti,’” he added.

The debut track also reflects the larger identity that Patel hopes to build for Blue Jay Music. The label takes inspiration from Neelkanth (नीलकंठ), the blue-throated form of Lord Shiva, representing devotion, resilience, compassion and divine grace. With “Shree Ganesh Ji Ki Aarti”, Blue Jay Music begins its journey with a collaboration between one of India’s most recognisable devotional voices and a new label with a global outlook, while plans are already underway for more bhajans, aartis, mantras and devotional compositions.
