COLORS’ ‘Mahadev & Sons’, Rajji chooses independence, leaving Dheeraj conflicted and their bond strained
Riding high on audience love and growing popularity, COLORS’ ‘Mahadev & Sons’ continues to keep viewers hooked with emotionally charged twists and relatable family drama. In the latest track, tensions simmer within the Mahadev (played by Shakti Anand) household as Vidya (played by Sneha Wagh) longs for Dheeraj (played by Aasim Khan) and Rajji (played by Garvita Sadhwani) to return home from college and share a meal with the family, but Mahadev firmly opposes their presence. Amidst this emotional distance, a new development unfolds when Mogra’s mother approaches the family with a marriage proposal for her daughter with Ashish (played by Deep Khati), sealing their alliance and bringing a moment of celebration into an otherwise strained environment.
Determined to become independent and take charge of their lives, Dheeraj and Rajji decide to earn for themselves. Rajji takes up a job as a waitress at a café, a step that shocks Dheeraj when he unexpectedly sees her working, further fuelling tension between them. What begins as a step towards self-reliance soon turns into a point of conflict, highlighting their fragile relationship and differing perspectives.
The situation escalates when Bhanu (played by Manasi Salvi) spots Rajji at the café and returns home furious, confronting Mahadev for allowing his daughter-in-law to work in such circumstances. While Mahadev urges Rajji to quit her job, she firmly refuses, standing her ground and asserting her independence. As emotions run high and equations within the family continue to shift, the question remains, will Rajji continue to work against all odds, or will family pressure force her to step back?
