The recently released teaser shows the two arriving at the Balaji Telefilms office, smiling their way through paparazzi questions while keeping their new project under wraps. And Ekta’s message to viewers is clear: surprises abhi baaki hain!

Talking about the new show, Ekta Kapoor says, “Ek kahaani khatam hui hai, lekin surprises abhi baaki hain! After Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’s big finale, everyone kept asking me, ‘Ekta, what’s next?’ Well, I couldn’t leave viewers waiting for too long! I knew the next story had to be special, something that would make people sit up, feel deeply, and fall in love all over again. And what better way to begin than by bringing Gaurav Khanna and Shraddha Arya together! Both have earned so much love from viewers, and I’ve wanted to see them share the screen for a long time. Now that it’s finally happening, I’m excited, nervous, and already imagining how audiences will react to them together!

“Television will always be home for me. There’s something special about creating characters who become part of people’s everyday lives. That connection keeps me excited about every new story.

“The love viewers have given my shows over the years means so much to me, and with every new story, I hope to give them something they’ll connect with just as deeply. Kyunki gave viewers a finale to remember. Now, it’s time to give them a new beginning they’ll fall in love with.”

With Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi having wrapped up, its set is reportedly being revamped for Ekta’s upcoming show, with filming expected to begin towards the end of this month. While the makers have yet to officially announce the title, the hashtag #DHGA accompanying the first teaser hints that the show could be called Dhaga. According to a source, the show is being lined up for a post-Diwali launch, possibly in the last week of November.

Described as a modern-day love story, the show is expected to present Gaurav in a different light, with a new look and a character that moves beyond his familiar romantic-hero image. With Shraddha joining him, the pairing offers viewers plenty to look forward to as Ekta prepares to unveil her next chapter.
