Raj Kundra Calls Out Delay in Justice as Arguments Conclude in Ongoing Case: “Grant Me a Discharge, My Freedom, and My Respect Back”

Businessman Raj Kundra has once again broken his silence amid the ongoing legal proceedings, marking a significant milestone after years of court hearings. Posting on X, Kundra announced that his advocate Prashant Patil has concluded arguments on his behalf in the lower court in the ongoing pornography case. After four years of legal battle, Kundra did not hold back in expressing his dissatisfaction with the prolonged process, stating that the delay has not only impacted his professional life but also caused irreparable damage to his personal reputation due to what he describes as a sustained “media trial.”

“Four long years in the lower court in the ongoing pornography case. Today, my advocate Prashant Patil concluded our arguments. I stand by the truth if I’m guilty, punish me. If not, grant me a discharge, my freedom, and the respect taken away by relentless media trials. Justice delayed is justice denied. #Justice,” he wrote.

Kundra emphasised that while he has always respected the judicial system and fully cooperated with the investigation at every stage, the time taken to reach this point has been deeply frustrating. He underscored that prolonged legal uncertainty not only affects the accused but also their families, careers, and standing in society.

Despite his strong words on the delay, Kundra expressed unwavering confidence in the judiciary, stating that he believes the truth will ultimately prevail. He reiterated that he is prepared to face consequences if found guilty but is equally firm in seeking a complete discharge and restoration of his dignity if proven innocent. In 2021, Kundra was arrested and accused by authorities of distributing pornographic content through mobile applications. While he was later granted bail, the legal proceedings have continued over the years. Earlier as well, Kundra had voiced his concern over media narratives, particularly those dragging his wife, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, into the controversy. He had criticised such coverage as “unfair and sensational,” urging that the matter be treated strictly as a legal issue rather than a source of speculation and headlines. Maintaining that his family has stood firmly by his side throughout, Kundra concluded by reiterating that he is now looking toward closure one that he hopes will not only clear his name but also restore the respect he believes was unjustly taken away over the years.
