Meezaan Jafri looks promising as he brings a youthful spark and Punjabi swag in De De Pyaar De 2, balances humour and heart

In today’s Bollywood, it’s rare to find rom-coms that spark genuine laughter with their lighthearted flow. However, there are a few creations that stand out, and the recently released film, De De Pyaar De 2, is one of them. Starring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Meezaan Jafri, Rakul Preet Singh, Jaaved Jaaferi and others, the film is directed by Anshul Sharma, and it is winning hearts because of its breezy characters and heartfelt script.
While the cast pull off their roles with ease, Meezaan Jafri, in particular, brings a much-needed youthful spark and Punjabi swag to his role. Before the film’s release, the audiences had expected a believable performance from him, and now that the film has been released, it shows that Meezaan has exceeded those expectations.
His hearty and playful sequences in the film are entertaining, refreshing, and they bring a certain kind of newness to the film. With solo shine moments as well as those with the cast, Meezaan leaves you cheering for what he brings to the table. His natural screen presence adds to his chemistry with co-star Rakul Preet Singh, and the much-hyped dance sequence with his Dad, Jaaved Jaaferi, leaves you cheering for them.
In each frame, Meezaan shows improvement in his acting skills and a deep understanding of emotional layers, especially in the climax. With a balance of heart and humour, he stands as the film’s catalyst – and he makes sure that the audiences are entertained.
Directed by Anshul Sharma and co-written by Luv Ranjan, the sequel delivers solid laughs and impactful performances that make De De Pyaar 2 a must-watch in theatres.
