“Joining Pati Patni aur Panga felt like a marriage all over again” says Sudesh Lehri about teaming up with wife Mamta for COLORS’ new reality show

After four decades of love, laughter, and life’s unexpected turns, Sudesh Lehri and his wife, Mamta, are stepping into an all-new chapter – this time, in front of the camera. As COLORS gears up to launch its much-anticipated ‘Pati Patni Aur Panga- Jodiyon Ka Reality Check’, a reality show that throws celebrity couples into a cocktail of chaos, chemistry, and connection, it was Sudesh and Mamta’s story that instantly stole the spotlight.

A ringside view into the quirks, quiet struggles, and unseen joys of marriage, and who better than these old-school lovers, whose love story began when Mamta ji was just 15 and Sudesh ji, 17. In a world of dating apps and compatibility tests, their shaadi was sealed in hours, thanks to a spur-of-the-moment family decision. From becoming young parents to weathering life’s many storms, they’ve lived the full spectrum of marriage and now, they’re ready to compete with six other celebrity jodis in tasks that will test their bond in the most unexpected ways. But nothing quite prepared Sudesh for the moment Mamta walked into the set, dancing her heart out to Billo Rani and owning the stage in her television debut.

Sharing his thoughts about his wife’s television debut, Sudesh Lehri says, “Our marriage happened in the most unexpected way, spontaneous, unplanned, and within just a couple of hours. But even after all these years, I can say one thing for sure: the bond we have built is forever. Mamta has been by my side through it all, when I had nothing, and even when I had it all, through the hardest struggles and the biggest wins. She’s been my strength, my support, and the calm in my chaos. I often say this jokingly, but I mean it with all my heart, if I get to live another life, I’d want to marry someone exactly like her again. Maybe even the same her, if I’m lucky enough. I may be the one people know, but she’s the one who kept our home, our kids, and our love steady while I chased a career in comedy. Seeing her walk in dancing, owning the moment – that moved me. Joining the show felt like a marriage all over again. I also want to thank COLORS for giving her this moment through Pati Patni Aur Panga. It’s her first time being on a TV, and it means a lot, not just to her, but to me too. She truly deserves this spotlight.
