Vikrant Massey, often hailed as the best actor of this generation, recently stole the spotlight at a conclave, opening up about his coveted National Award win for Best Actor in 12th Fail. Fans and cinephiles alike were glued as he shared heartfelt insights on how this milestone reshaped his journey, from wide-eyed beginner to a powerhouse storyteller. In true Vikrant style, his words blended raw emotion, humility, and that signature spark of ambition.

Reflecting on the win that crowned his portrayal of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, Vikrant revealed it as the realization of a long-cherished dream. He said, “It was a very old dream of mine. I started my career in 2004 and I didn’t know anything about acting…But when I started learning, I realized that I should spend my entire life in front of the camera, because telling stories and representing people is something that I really like. So it is a responsibility, because every actor dreams that his film should be appreciated and when that dream comes true, there is a lot of happiness but also responsibility that you have to work harder and better. And you cannot take the honour for granted.”

These words hit home for anyone who’s chased a passion against the odds. Kicking off in 2004 with zero acting know-how, Vikrant’s evolution into a National Award winner underscores his grit. 12th Fail wasn’t just a film; it was a movement, humanizing real-life struggles and earning him the National Film Award. Yet, true to form, he’s not resting on laurels, instead, he’s doubling down, reminding us that glory demands greater effort.

The conversation turned even more personal when asked about sharing the moment with family. Vikrant’s response was pure, unfiltered joy: “To tell you the truth…for a few hours, until we reached the hotel, we could not believe that we have lived this day. When something good is happening in life, that time passes very quickly. So from morning to night, the day passed and when we reached the hotel, we did not realize it. So were just very happy.”

As Vikrant Massey gears up for “White” where he portrays Indian Guru and spiritual leader Shri Shri Ravi Shankar, his conclave chat leaves everyone inspired – dreams do come true, but the real magic lies in the hustle that follows.
